About Timothy Robertson (Certified C.O.B.R.A. Instructor)


Tim Robertson


Timothy Robertson began his training in the Martial Arts in the early 1970’s. He has studied with some of the top instructors in the country and received his black belt in 1980. He received additional ranking while touring and training in Japan in 1994.

He is a Martial Arts Master and holds black belt rankings in Aikijutsu, Karate and Jujutsu. He is an inductee into the World Karate Union Hall of Fame as Master of the Year 2002 and the Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Fame 2003.

In 2008 he was awarded Police Tactics Instructor of the Year by Gold Coast Martial Arts and in 2009 he was honored by the IFOJJ Martial Arts University Legion of Honor Award for over 35 years of martial arts contribution.

The Project Action Foundation has recognized him for his work with youth and deterring at risk youth from drugs and crime.

In addition he is a certified field agent (ID# 51850) for the National Security Alliance Women-Safe Network Division, for which he is dedicated to educating women on danger awareness and self-defense. He is a certified youth fitness instructor and personal trainer.

He has worked in the corrections field for many years and has recently worked for 8 years in the foster care system in Florida.

He is a former certified behavior management instructor, teaching verbal de-escalation techniques and non-lethal control techniques.

He is a licensed security officer with the State of Florida (D&G license). Mr. Robertson has instructed thousands of men, women and children over the years to defend themselves by using his proven simple methods that anyone can learn in a very short time.
